Defence24DAY: Błaszczak announces the launch of the "Orka" programme in 2023

During the inauguration of the Defece24DAY conference in Warsaw on May 24, 2023, the Minister of National defence Mariusz Błaszczak announced the start of proceedings aimed at acquiring a fresh generation of diesel-electric submarines for the Polish Navy this year. The number of units planned for acquisition has not been given, but it is known that they are besides to be armed with cruise missiles.
