The Ministry of National Defence referred to controversy surrounding general nominations. Members of political families, among others, received higher grades. "Untrue, unauthorised and injurious speculations are that the reason for appointments to fresh military posts are, among others, household considerations" - said MON in a published statement.

MON spokesperson Janusz Seymej spoke on the last General nominations.

"In view of the many false information appearing in the media about the mode of designation on next posts I would like to remind officers in the Polish Army that decisions concerning the promotion of officers are made after careful analysis of the experience and conduct of the candidate's service and based on the needs of the commander" - we read in the letter.

The ministry’s spokesperson besides referred powerfully to media publications on the matter.

"True, unauthorised and injurious are speculations that the reason for appointments for fresh military posts are, among others, household considerations.
