Ukraine 2022. Return to Passchendaele, or the first war of the information era? [Cz.I] [OPINION]

The war in Ukraine, which has lasted for almost a year, is simply a powerful origin of cognition for analysts about modern armed conflict, becoming, according to some, a marker of the changes taking place on the battlefield. In collision with the images from the trenches close Bakhmut, referring to associations with the 1917 conflict of Passchendaele, it is essential to consider the degree to which activities on the Ukrainian-Russian front fit into the explanation of war of the information era, and to what degree they inactive stay in the area of war of the industrial era, known from the large wars of the 20th century.
