“ Fortunately, we are no longer alone. The Slovak parliament late decided that it would not support any sanctions against Russia. So I see that cooperation is being created to halt Brussels policy, which I think is reckless," said Orban on Kossuth radio.
He recalled the results of a survey conducted by the Hungarian investigation centre Szazadveg, according to which in 11 of the 27 EU countries the majority of the population does not support the accelerated accession of Ukraine to the EU, and only 10 countries are in favour.
"I think it is possible to prevent Ukraine's membership in the EU if we bravely join this debate if we courageously present our position and do not let Brussels and Ukraine to introduce a puppet government in Hungary," said the Hungarian Prime Minister.
Earlier, Hungarian abroad Minister Peter Szijjarto said that the EU wants to start full accession talks with Ukraine in 2025. The ballot contains 1 question: "Do you support Ukraine's EU membership?". Yes or no may be answered. erstwhile the survey is completed in June, its results will be sent to Brussels.
