Marcin Bogdan: Ziobro or Owsiak – that is the question
date:22 January 2026 Editor: GKut
Jerzy OwsiakZbigniew Ziobro

Zbigniew Ziobro and Jerzy Owsiak are 2 different personalities, with 2 different poles torn apart by divisions of Poland, 1 could say, from 2 different worlds. Can they be compared? Not as much as you should. If you want to specify and realize the essence of the teardrop of Poland, you should compare these 2 figures, then you should look at their actions and compare the consequences of their actions.

Similarities

Zbigniew Ziobro contributed to the fact that budget resources from the Ministry of Justice were transferred to the State Central Anticorruption Office to acquisition the Pegasus programme. Jerzy Owsiak contributed to the fact that funds from state companies, including those from Orlen, were transferred to acquisition medical equipment for state hospitals subordinate to the Ministry of Health. There are politicians and commentators who say that funds from the Justice Fund to aid victims of crime should not be utilized to acquisition software that prevents these crimes. There are politicians and commentators who say that funds from state companies specified as Orlen should not be utilized for the acquisition of medical equipment, as specified purchases are under the authority of the Ministry of wellness and not the petrochemical company. There are politicians and commentators who claim that the Ziobry-driven Pegasus program was utilized for inappropriate purposes and the acquisition itself was missed in relation to the needs of state peculiar services. There are politicians and commentators who claim that the medical equipment purchased by Owsiak's efforts was frequently unused or misused, and purchases were frequently missed in relation to the actual state needs of hospitals.

Differences

Zbigniew Ziobro transferred funds from the ministry straight to the CBA, without brokering any private company, even more so that he would be a shareholder. 1 100 percent money, all penny, went from 1 state unit to another. The money provided by state companies for the acquisition of apparatus for state hospitals was reduced by the organisational costs of intermediaries in transactions of private companies whose shareholder was Jerzy Owsiak and his family. I am not consciously writing about the profits of these companies, but about the costs that would have caused state companies to transfer funds straight to state hospitals, they would have more money and could have bought better equipment or more of that equipment. Zbigniew Ziobro has been waived and the prosecution wants to arrest him for abuse and harm to the state budget. Jerzy Owsiak, although he is not protected by any immunity, is not arrested or prosecuted. In his activities, the prosecution does not see any abuse or harm to the state budget.

Zbigniew Ziobro requested asylum in Budapest. Where will Jerzy Owsiak attend for asylum in the future? Minsk or Moscow? That's the question.

Before individual throws a penny into a porridge can, you should compare these 2 characters. If anyone, after all, considers it worth a penny for charity, I remind you that what Jerzy Owsiak did and did is not a charity, which I wrote about just 1 year ago:
