Ensuring adequate care for the aged is becoming 1 of the top challenges facing the Polish healthcare system. The population is aging, the number of people with chronic conditions and seniors requiring constant assistance is growing, and access to: 1) specialized geriatric care and 2) long-term care remains limited. This problem affects not only patients but besides their families, who frequently gotta organize care for their dependent loved ones on their own.
