On Thursday, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, presented the Mediterranean Pact, a broad plan to strengthen cooperation with countries south of the EU. It includes plans for joint infrastructure investments, including the inclusion of students from the countries of the region in the Erasmus programme.
