The vast majority of Ukrainian citizens believe that after the start of a full-scale Russian invasion the level of corruption in the country has increased – according to a survey published on October 3 by the Kiev global Institute of Sociology (KMiS).
According to the survey, 71% of respondents say that corruption has intensified. all 5th surveyed is of the opinion that the situation has not changed, but only 5% indicate improvement. The increase in corruption is seen by residents of all regions of Ukraine.
People declaring assurance in president Volodymyr Zelenski justice the situation somewhat better – 62% of them talk about the increase in corruption, 27% stableness and 6% improvement. Among those who do not trust the president, as much as 86% believe that corruption has increased, 10% say that it has not changed and 4% see an improvement.
The survey was conducted on 19–28 September by telephone interviews on a random example of 1029 adult respondents.
