Almost 250 art and art adepts will compete for the 26th Festival of Children's Works of the Polish Army. The event, organised by the Military Centre for Civic Education, will take place on 23–26 May in Gdynia. Among another things, there was a march of the colorful cortical boulevard and a final performance in the amphitheater on Kamienna Góra.
The Festival of Children's Works of the Polish Army is an undertaking with a long tradition. What goals have you set as organizers?
Colonel Anna Kania, manager of the Military Centre for Civic Education: The goal of the Festival of Children's Works of the Polish Army from the beginning – means through 26 editions – was to rise patriotic by art. This may sound a small high-pitched, but it is hard to specify the main presumption of this undertaking. all year young actors, reciters, vocalists, dancers, artists meet not only to compete, but mainly to show the beauty of Polish culture through their presentations. Above all, the festival is simply a great, colorful, danced and sung feast of children and youth.
When the event competed, in times without access to the net as common as today, it was an invaluable window to the artistic world. Endless conversations, exchange of experiences, but besides notes or texts, a unique exchange of ideas. We are very happy, this specificity of the festival has persisted to this day – despite the improvement of technology and ways of communication.
It is besides very crucial for us to advance cognition about Polish history. all edition of the festival is accompanied by an crucial date from the past of our country.
This year is this 25th anniversary of Poland in NATO. What peculiar preparations have the organizers and participants prepared for this occasion?
This year's Jubilee is the subject of the festival. The accents associated with the 25th anniversary of our country's accession to NATO will so be present at all times. Not only during phase presentations, but besides at the post-competition art exhibition. The anniversary will besides be celebrated during a colorful cortical which on Saturday 25 May will pass the Gdynia Sea Boulevard.
W erstwhile young artists from all over the country appear. What's the way to the final?
These young artists are wards of military units that have undergone long and hard qualifications. Work on the festival repertoire takes months, under the supervision of instructors. Presented literary works, performances, works of art, songs are carefully chosen by performers and their guardians. They must mention to the subject of the festival. I admit that the final choice of finalists – which is already held at the Military Centre for Civic Education – never comes easily. It would be wonderful to invitation all these capable young people, but unfortunately, the rules of the competition are inexorable. This year almost 250 representatives of phase and artistic arts will appear in Gdynia. The reports were more than twice that.
For clubs of military units participation in the festival is simply a large event...
That's what you gotta ask club managers, instructors and participants, but if I can talk on their behalf – I think so. all year, I'm very impressed with the commitment and passion that military clubs work with. Coming to the festival is the culmination of year-round activity. Sometimes for warded clubs – especially children of soldiers and military workers – this is the first chance to present themselves to specified a wide audience. Competition auditions and final performance are open to viewers.
Like I said, the festival is not just competition. This is where friendships come in. Sometimes specified meetings are besides the beginning of artistic cooperation.
But the component of competition is necessary. What are the contestants fighting for?
In each category we will meet the winners of the first 3 places. The jury can besides award distinctions. It looks akin in plastic. The best, most versatile, distinguished performer will receive the Grand Prix Festival.
I would add that during each edition of the performers, he evaluates the professional jury. This year he will be composed of, among others, the outstanding vocalist Marek Piekarczyk, actor Cezary Domagała, lecturer in Warsaw PWST prof. Stanisław Górka or actor and vocalist Anna Sztejner.
The evaluation of artistic work is simply a hard task. What are the criteria of the judges?
Indeed, it is not easy work. I do not envy our jury – erstwhile you take into account the level of young performers, it will not be a simple substance to choose. I myself participated in the works of the jury of the art competition, and I will admit that we had to work hard to choose the best of so many large creative works.
The main evaluation criterion is, of course, the artistic level of a given presentation. Moreover, in each category the criteria are somewhat different. In the recitation, for example, it will be a diction, in the song besides musicality, in theatrical terms – consistency of the presented history. The selection of repertoire is besides very important. Everything is detailed in the rules of the event.
We want transparency of grades, so any teacher or performer will be able to consult the judges. Ask, ask for advice, just usage the presence of professionals.
You said that young artists would present themselves in front of a large audience. Where will they be in Gdynia?
The competition hearings were planned at the Club of 3 Fleet Ships on Oxyvia. However, the most spectacular attractions were planned for the weekend. On Saturday at 4:00 p.m., the already mentioned colorful, festival cordon will pass through the Elbląg Military Orchestra. In turn on Sunday, besides at 4:00 pm, in the amphitheater on Stone Mountain during the final performance we will meet the winners and watch the most interesting presentations.
All residents of Gdynia and guests are welcome to have fun together. On stage, Mr Marek Piekarczyk will execute together with all participants of the festival.
The WP Children's Works Festival is simply a fun place for participants, a place to make friends, a space where they learn patriotism and Polish history. And was he besides a career pass for someone?
Definitely! Military clubs, besides thanks to the approval of the unit commanders they are subject to, open up immense opportunities for participants. They let for comprehensive artistic development. There were even any participants of the festival who returned to him as judges. Their first steps on the military phase were, for example, actor Emilia Komarnicka-Klynstra, vocalist and gloator of the show “I Have Talent” Kacper Sikora or actor and vocalist Margaret Chruściel. respective people who only presented themselves at the festival a fewer years ago present are students of acting schools.
I no longer request to be encouraged – I will definitely be in Gdynia, and the course of competition and final performances can be followed on the Polish-Army portal.pl. However, the full is open to the public and it will surely be the best way to learn about the work of the warded military clubs.
If 1 of you lives in Gdynia or will be in this beautiful city between May 23 and 26, you cannot miss our festival. There is no better place at this time that will infect affirmative energy, prompt smiles and fun. You're welcome.
