The head of the Ministry of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz assessed that the strength of NATO activities in fresh days shows that "NATO passed the test". The minister informed about a conversation with American Secretary of War Pete Hegseth about Russian provocations at the Polish border.
"I spoke to U.S. War Secretary Pete Hegseth about the last Russian provocations on the Polish and NATO border. He assured me that Poland can number on relationship and full allied support from the United States" - wrote Kosiniak-Kamish on the X portal.
Talking to an American Ally
At a press conference in the Sejm, the head of the MON stressed that he could not give details of the conversation with Hegseth. "We talked very specifically. About what happened, about our assessment, besides about those needs and abilities that are crucial to us" - said the minister.
Kosiniak-Kamysz assured that Poland is ready to accept more American soldiers. "Key is the presence of US troops for us" - stressed the head of the MON.
NATO consultation after the incident
The Minister announced that crucial information would be presented at the afternoon conference of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and the commander of the Allied Army in Europe, General Alexus Grynkewich at the office in Brussels. They will concern the Alliance's findings after consultations started after Russian drones entered Polish airspace.
