Xi Jinping calls for method self-sufficiency and modernization of armed forces

In a speech ending the yearly session of parliament, China's leader Xi Jinping called on Monday for technological and method self-sufficiency and further modernization of the armed forces, which are set to become a “great wall of steel,” protecting the country's sovereignty.
