On Sunday, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce accused the US of utilizing "double standards" due to the threat of 100 percent duties imposed in consequence to Beijing's strengthening control of exports of rare-earth metals. China justifies them with safety reasons and with a view to maintaining global peace.
