On the occasion of the outbreak of the Iran War, the government introduced a CPN package ("Prices of Fuels Under"), which reduced VAT and excise duties and introduced regulated prices. CPN expired on June 30 due to the calming of the situation in the mediate East. However, the end of the war yet did not happen, and the US began further bombings of Iran. The Ormuz Strait was closed again, and fuel prices went up – without government intervention. However, it is possible that CPN will return, but in already changed form.

The government is analysing the anticipation of launching a fresh vacation programme "CPN", which would reduce fuel prices by about PLN 1 per litre. According to these assumptions, the mechanics would be based on a temporary simplification in VAT and would be in force for the last 2 weeks of August.

The government can pass the fresh "CPN" package on Tuesday. It is known that fuel prices would fall on each liter

According to the plans, the government can handle the task on Tuesday. Energy Minister Miłosz Motyka wants the program to cover at least the end of the vacation erstwhile many drivers return from their holidays.

According to the information received by Radio ZET, the simplification rate would be about PLN 1 per litre. The Energy hotel besides hopes that Orlen will extend the current weekend fuel promotions, which will further reduce the refuelling costs for drivers.

The current task differs from the spring programme. The government does not intend to base its backing on a taxation on excess profits of fuel companies, as president Karol Nawrocki directed the bill on this substance to the Constitutional Court. For this reason, the planned simplification would only be financed by a change in the VAT rate, without interference with the excise duty.
