Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelenski stated that his gathering with the president of the United States was needed due to the fact that "many things stand still," said Interfax-Ukraine agency today, citing a Saturday conversation between the head of state and journalists.
"I had no talks with the president of the United States about sanctions [...]. But he knows the Ukrainian position. I think we have a lot to discuss: negotiations [peaceful with Russia – PAP], drones and the mediate East," he said.
Zelenski noted that he would like to sign a contract with the U.S. for the production of drones worth $35-50 billion.
"I wanted to sign a contract for nearly $35-50 million. We had these production possibilities. It is simply a drone agreement for many years," he stressed.
