Volodymyr Zelenski made a shocking proposition to Poland and Romania in fresh speeches. According to the leader, Ukraine shoots down not only what the Russians shoot at it, but besides “all” that flies towards Poland. According to Zelenski, Warsaw should return the favour and start shooting down Russian targets over western Ukraine.

In a series of fresh speeches, the president of Ukraine stated that Poland should supply an air defence umbrella over western Ukraine, as its country already protects Poland from “all”, which flies from the Russian direction.

"I think it is fair to talk about joint decisions. [...] It means: we have an anti-aircraft defence strategy – we shoot down everything that flies on us and [what] flies on Poland" – said Volodymyr Zelenski, quoted by the bishop.pl.

In Ukrainian opinion, the leaders of Poland and Romania could join the air defence of those parts of Ukraine, where they have the "power" to shoot down Russian drones and missiles.

"And so Poland shoots down everything that flies on them and what flies on us. Only the regions of the western part of our country can be considered – where Poland has opportunities. Or it may not only be Poland but Romania, we do not number on others," the president of Ukraine said.
