The Wednesday unrest that occurred in Bajmak, about 1,400 km southeast of Moscow, has been 1 of the largest demonstrations since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. Society increasingly conscious

To suppress the crowd chanting slogans against the sentence, police utilized teardrop gas and sticks. The demonstrators called for the overthrow of the politician of Bashkiria and besides expressed their discontent by throwing snowballs at the officers. The community, however, claims that Alsynow protested in defence of nature in the region, which is destroyed due to the calcium and gold deposits. The assembly expresses their discontent with the repressive actions of the authorities and stresses that these accusations are unjustified, which puts the fairness and transparency of the judicial processes in Russia at issue.

Fail Alsynow was the leader of the Bashkort group, who sought to preserve Bashkort's language and culture and protested against the above described activities of extracting natural materials. In 2020, the group had to be closed.

They don't want to fight for Putin

Thousands of supporters of neglect Alsynov gathered outside the courthouse building on Monday, erstwhile closing speeches were announced in the case. According to the Russian independent news service Agentstvo, it has been 1 of the largest protests in Russia since the invasion of Ukraine, which resulted in tightening of the law and increased suppression of objections.

On Wednesday, the demonstrators reunited in front of the court building, awaiting judgment. Recordings published by Russian media showed crowds facing police intervention in the snowy countryside.

Additionally, protesters began to appeal to soldiers from Bashkiria who were mobilized and sent to the front of the war in Ukraine. The community does not want them to die for Putin on the front but return to Bashkiria, defending their homeland from regime-related services. This appeal reflects deep public dissatisfaction and the fight against Russia's engagement in Ukraine's conflict, while stressing the request to defend local interests and identities.

The Investigative Committee, the highest law enforcement agency in Russia, announced the initiation of criminal proceedings in connection with allegations of incitement to mass riots and assaults on police officers. At the same time, popular Russian independent news sources study blocking respective social media sites that reported protests.
