Vladimir Putin referred to Donald Trump's appeal, which called on him to spare the lives of Ukrainian military officers. The Russian president announced that the condition is the surrender of Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region. "In the event of laying down their arms and being taken prisoner, (soldiers) will be guaranteed life and dignified treatment in accordance with the norms of global law and the law of Russia," Putin said.
