Half of Taiwanese believe that TSMC becomes an American branch after investing in the US

A fresh public opinion survey in Taiwan shows that the increasing investments of TSMC in the US are of concern to the island's residents. As many as 50% of respondents say that the semiconductor giant becomes the "TSMC of the United States", which the media call the beginning of the company's transformation into an American sub-unit. Concerns intensified after under Donald Trump's administration the TSMC invested hundreds of billions of dollars in developing chips production in the US.
