On 18 June, Deputy Minister of National Defence Paweł Bejda met with the president of RTX (formerly Raytheon) to discuss strategical cooperation directions. The main nonsubjective of the talks was to increase the engagement of Polish manufacture in the production of key arms components and the improvement of modern defence technologies.
They discussed the implementation of cable beam production for the Patriot strategy in Poland, as well as the increase in the share of Polish manufacture in the production of Patriot strategy launchers for customers from another countries. The discussions besides included expanding cooperation in the improvement of anti-aircraft defence radars and in investigation and improvement in the field of radiolocation.
In addition, the crucial point of the gathering was to accelerate the supply of rockets for FA-50 aircraft, which are equipped with Polish Air Force, with the possible of locating their production in Poland.
The question of integration of FA-50 aircraft into US weapons systems was besides raised. Finally, the parties discussed cooperation on anti-drone solutions.
This gathering is another of a number of others aimed at encouraging large arms marketplace players to invest in our country, allowing the improvement of the home defence manufacture and strengthening our security.
