Despite more than 4 years since the beginning of the border crisis, the Polish Army continues to play a key (not to say leading) function in physically securing the border with Belarus. In consequence to questions from Defence24.pl, the spokesperson for the Border Guard, Major SG Anna Sobieska-Tekień, on average, on an operational basis, nearly 400 SG officers and little than 2.4 1000 soldiers are active in the protection of the border with Belarus.
