The European Parliament defends passenger rights. “We want to strengthen them, not weaken them”

The European Parliament voted in favour of maintaining existing travel rights, including a three-hour hold limit beyond which passengers are entitled to compensation, as well as the applicable compensation rates. The proposal to extend the threshold of delays and reductions in compensation, which was pushed by the associate States of the European Union, was rejected. Euro MPs besides want to hold the right to carry up to 7 kilograms of hand baggage free of charge. These changes are intended to strengthen passenger protection in the face of expanding operational problems in aviation.
