The importance of organising a support strategy for people who request aid in everyday life due to their age, wellness or limited autonomy is besides increasing as life grows. elder care is not just a substance of providing circumstantial services. It is besides a question of the quality of life, the anticipation of maintaining independence, safety and dignified ageing. It is so of peculiar importance whether the aid goes to those who request it, whether it is available at their place of residence and whether it responds to the real needs of local communities. That's why the ultimate Chamber of Control is looking at this area.

– The state must be active, must be in constant contact with local communities, especially in areas where there is simply a phenomenon of depopulation. In order to get information, even through the chiefs, about who needs support; not to wait until the people who request aid themselves study to the social institutions," NIK said.

The control of the aged in agrarian and urban agrarian municipalities besides falls within the scope of the global Parallel Control on the readiness of governments to age populations, carried out by 9 control bodies from Albania, Israel, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Malta, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal and Slovakia.
