– The president has the strongest mandate among all officials of our state. Since 1990, he has been elected by a general vote but at the same time has little power than the Prime Minister, whom he elects in the Sejm respective 100 Members.
– The election of the head of state in the general vote was an expression of the democratic renewal that took place after 1989. In time, however, this enthusiasm weakened somewhat due to the shortcomings of organization politics.
– In Italy, Israel and until late in the Czech Republic, where the president chooses parliament, specified a strategy works rather smoothly.
– Each of these countries is in a different situation, has a different tradition. If the President's general elections were to replace the arrangements between political parties, this would not empower our society, but would only increase the power of the political elite.
