Billion-dollar losses to Norway? Trump imposed duties on goods from the fjord country

Donald Trump's administration announced the introduction of 15-percent. duties on a number of Norwegian export goods, including aluminium and steel products. The decision was justified by the desire to defend the American manufacture and to reduce the trade deficit. Customs duties are to cover exports from Norway worth more than NOK 20 billion per year. The government in Oslo reported that it analysed the effects of the decision and does not exclude protective measures against home industry.
