The European Commission presented a draft equality strategy for the period 2026–2030, which envisages a contribution of as much as €3.6 billion to actions promoting LGBT demands across the European Union.
This is twice as much as in the erstwhile strategy (2020-2025). The paper provides for e.g. ban on conversion therapy, forcing the designation of single-sex couples as parents of children, promoting LGBT ideology at work, and creating a permanent forum for lobbying homosexual and transsexual organisations at the European Commission.
Hadja Lahbib, Commissioner for Equality, announced that the funds are to be allocated to "building equality in all EU policies". In practice, this means that in all area, from agriculture and environmental protection, through the interior marketplace to defence, references will be made to the alleged LGBTIQ+ inclusion policy.
Thus, the Union plans to extend its ideological impact to all sectors of public life. The strategy has 3 pillars. Firstly, the fight against the alleged hatred speech, which, according to critics, can become a tool to censor views incompatible with LGBT ideology.
To this end, the Commission plans to set up a ‘center of cognition about illegal hatred on the Internet’, an institution that monitors and collects data on network users. Secondly, the extension of backing for LGBT organisations, which already receive hundreds of millions of euros a year from EU equality programmes. Thirdly, the prohibition of therapy to aid people with impaired sexual identity return to heterosexuality – alleged conversion therapy. A peculiar controversy is raised by the provision which requires associate States to recognise the adoption and parenting of single-sex couples made in another countries.
This means that, for example, 2 men who adopted a kid in Spain could besides be regarded as "fathers" in Poland – regardless of the law applicable here. The European Commission is besides planning to make a LGBTIQ+ Policy Forum, which will be the authoritative channel of impact for homosexual and transsexual organisations on the decisions of EU institutions. The emphasis on the private sector has besides been announced – companies operating on the European marketplace are to implement "inclusive recruitment practices" and "promot sex diversity" at work.
As a result, the fresh strategy not only moves the European Union towards central control of the cultural sphere, but besides aims to impose ideological uniformity on associate States. Under the guise of the fight for equality, the EC is building a strategy of financing and control to strengthen the influence of the LGBT movement in politics, education, media and the economy. The pressures are intended to lead to concrete legislative changes that conflict with both the legal identity of the nations, their constitutional law and their customs, but besides with natural law.
