As all year, participants of the March of the January Uprising on 2 different tourist routes met on the Kielce mountain of Brusznia, i.e. where, before 162 years ago on the night of 22/23 January, the insurgents met planning an attack on the troops stationed in Kielce.
This event commemorates the larch cross (24m) and a plaque with the inscription “Memoirs to Heroes of the Uprising 1863, this Cross was erected”. We lit the candles, the reconstruction squad gave up the salute. Then in the scenery of forests and mountains, we climbed the Karczówka to the monastery of Bernardine (1631), where the fathers of Pallotine (the owner of the monastery), celebrated the Holy Mass in the intention of the fallen insurgents. Earlier, in the Grabina Valley in front of the obelisk placed there, we paid tribute to the peoples murdered in the Smolensk disaster. After mass, further celebrations commemorating the fallen insurgents were held in front of the walls of the monastery.
