This minute erstwhile you realized that the EU was just mediocre relatives of this planet on their knees in front of the US, China, Putin

While we are dealing with the amateur government, in the meantime president Trump played the EU and von der Leyen with duties like children in the sandbox. This will be the second most crucial thing in the first phase of Karol Nawrocki's presidency - the usage of excellent relations with the Trump administration.

Trump, who has already concluded trade agreements with Britain, Japan and the Philippines, one more time uses tough tactics to force concessions. The von der Leyen squad ensures that the EU does not violate its regulatory sovereignty, but that the disclosed papers propose otherwise.

A five-day journey to Scotland, which is besides the promotion of golf centres under Trump brand name, is the President's way of combining business with diplomacy – and enjoying all moment. However, the message from Washington is clear: Brussels needs access to the US marketplace much more than the another way around.

Yesterday European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen and US president Donald Trump concluded an economical agreement,

This agreement increases US exports and exposes the strategical weakness of the EU

The agreement provides for a 15% work on most European products exported to the US in exchange for mass purchases of US energy and military equipment worth over $1.3 trillion.

The Commission presented the agreement as a ‘minor evil’, arguing that it prevented Trump from introducing 30% of the duties as of 1 August.

Among the clauses of the agreement is the commitment of Europe to acquisition energy from the United States worth $750 billion over the next 3 years – replacing Russian gas and oil – and to invest another $600 billion in the US, mainly in defence-related sectors. This is due to a crucial increase in purchases of U.S. military equipment, due to the transformation of the defence possible of respective associate States, especially Germany.

Despite von der Leyen's assurances that this is simply a "sustainable agreement that gives certainty," the facts say otherwise. Washington managed to impose a fixed 15% tariff on key European goods – cars, semi-conductors and pharmaceutical products – while granting exemptions only for certain agricultural, chemical and aviation products. There is no real reciprocity: the European marketplace is wide open to American industrial goods and standards without any equivalent counterweight.

US Trade Secretary Howard Lutnick made it clear: "The EU will full accept our automotive and industrial standards for the first time in history." And Trump triumphantly celebrated that Europe "buys immense amounts of energy and weapons" from his country. In another words, Brussels bought temporary stableness at the expense of long-term sovereignty.

This agreement highlights the gap between EU leaders' declarations and their actions. Although they frequently talk about expanding Europe's independency in areas specified as energy, defence and technology, the agreement has the other effect. It makes the EU dependent on the United States. Moreover, the alleged US concessions are minimal and strategically calculated to maximise access to the 450 million consumer market, without prejudice to anything significant.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said: "It is Donald Trump eating von der Leyen for breakfast".
