"Farsa, not a vow". President's Office sharp about fresh TK judges

As a political farce, having nothing to do with the constitutional vow, he defined Thursday events in the Sejm, the head of the Chancellery of the president of Poland Zbigniew Bogucki. He pointed out that the head of state did not consider the events in the Sejm to be an effective oath of judges.

On Thursday, six judges elected in March of the Constitutional Court took an oath in parliament – despite the President's absence. Among them were both those already sworn in and 4 others: Krystian Markiewicz, Maciej Taborowski, Marcin Dziurda and Anna Korwin-Piotrowska.

The position of the Presidential Palace is unequivocal. As Bogacki said: "No measurement is taken by the president to admit what happened present in the Sejm as a vow." ‘For this cannot be called a vow. This can be called at most a political farce," he added, "This is simply a grotesque, corrupting the state and undermining the constitutional foundations of the Republic," he said.

According to the presidential minister, the procedure is clear – the vow should take place in the presence of the president – as was the case on 1 April.

The Presidential Palace announces further steps in this matter: in the coming days, the Constitutional Court is to be asked to settle a competence dispute between the president and the Sejm.
