Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen estimated that the presence of drones over the Copenhagen airport was the critical infrastructure attack of Denmark.
Several large drones were observed on Monday in the evening close Copenhagen Airport. The facility was closed for safety reasons, aircraft could not take off or land, which disrupted about 100 flights.
Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, assessing Monday's events, stressed that no script could be excluded erstwhile it comes to perpetrators. She drew attention to the co-incident with another cases of airspace breach by drones in Europe and with cyber attacks on the infrastructure of European airports.
The Danish police confirmed that the action was followed by a “competent perpetrator”. The investigation is conducted by PET peculiar services and the military, in cooperation with abroad partners. Due to Monday's attack, Denmark will join the group of countries to meet at the “drone wall” conference. The gathering is organised by the Commissioner for Defence Andrius Kubilius, and Poland will be among the participants.
