The Government of the Canadian state of Ontario, owner of Ontario Power Generation (OPG), made a final investment decision (FiD) concerning the construction of the world's first BWRX-300 reactor and at the same time the first SMR in the Western world. In the 1930s, the same reactors are to be built in Poland thanks to the company of Synthos and Orlen's daughter.
