On Tuesday, an different situation occurred in the Sejm with the associate of Law and Justice. During the ongoing meeting, Dariusz Matecki entered the parliament platform and attacked absent Prime Minister Donald Tusk. He accused him of serving the German state, after which he placed the German flag in his place.


On 8 July, the three-day session of the Sejm began. During the speech at the Parliamentary Speaker, Mr Dariusz Matecki of the Law and Justice spoke about the situation at the border and the activities of civilian patrols. Let us remind you that border controls at the border with Germany and Lithuania have been restored since Monday.

Matecki stressed that – in his opinion – there is evidence that Germany is moving migrants to Poland. He besides addressed strong words to Prime Minister Donald Tusk: "Who are you serving? Why, alternatively of thanking citizens on patrol, are you attacking these people, accusing these people, insulting these people? You forbid them from utilizing drones or even documenting what Germans do at the border. Who do you serve?"

He added, "I know who Donald Tusk, who is not here today, serves straight - the German state. Therefore, let him not be ashamed of his flag, like Rafał Trzaskowski. Thank you very much." After that, he placed the German flag at the place for the Prime Minister.

Matecki's speech sparked a stir in the area and met with a reaction from the talker of the Sejm Simon Holownia and Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

The session of the Sejm will last until Thursday 10 July. The Sejm will besides address draft resolutions on the migration pact, the policy on migrants and the safety of the east border.
