On Monday, Łukasz Meyza drove at a velocity of 200 km/h on the road where the limit is 120 km/h. The MP was detained by the police, but he did not accept the ticket, covering himself with immunity. He caused the rage of the party's colleagues.
In an interview with the ND, the PiS MPs were to say unofficially that Mezza should yet endure the consequences of his behaviour, mainly political. – Departure from the club, punishment, departure from the electoral lists – said 1 of them.
The Commission will examine the case of Mezza
In the Sejm, Jarosław Kaczyński was asked about possible consequences for Meyza. At first, he did not want to speak, but later indicated that the substance had already been referred to the organization ethics committee, which includes Elżbieta Witek, Anna Zalewski, Andrzej Adamczyk, Marek Ast, Stanisław Karczewski and Czesław Hoc.
According to the HR's information, the committee has not yet gathered and has not dealt with the case of Mezza. – Mr. Łukasz Meyza, in his style, publically apologized for his behaviour and made it clear that he was willing to bear full responsibility: to cover the issued mandate, and if necessary, to waive immunity. From the position of the party, this issue will be examined by our ethics committee – on Tuesday the Virtual Poland spokesperson for PiS Rafał Bochenek said.
