Schädler pointed out that Meyza had failed to appear on the ethics committee even though he had a chance to explain his behaviour twice.

In accordance with the rules of procedure, the committee may punish the associate with a remark, a reminder or a reprimand. Members shall be entitled to appeal against decisions of the ethics committee within 14 days of the date of notification of the punishment resolution. The scope of the ethics committee's action includes, among another things, the consideration of the cases of Members "who behave in a way that does not correspond to the dignity of the Member."
