The E.R. stopped the drone operator who fell into military territory

On Friday, the Military Police informed that an unknown unmanned aircraft had fallen into the 1st Air Cavalry Battalion in Leźnica Wielka (Łódź Province). Shortly thereafter, the drone operator was detained and heard the charges. He's facing up to 5 years of imprisonment.

Information about today's military police incidental was given on platform X in the early afternoon. It was explained that it was a tiny unmanned aircraft that fell into the military unit. As indicated in the communication, the drone did no harm. The branch of the Military Gendarmerie in Łódź immediately began an investigation into the case.

Shortly thereafter, the MPs determined and stopped the drone operator. It turned out to be a 22-year-old Pole who had already heard the charges. According to air law, flying an aircraft over military premises and facilities constitutes a criminal offence punishable by imprisonment of up to 5 years.

In Leźnica the large is stationed 1st Battalion of the Air Cavalry and 1st Air Squadron of the 25th Air Cavalry Brigade. This is the base of the Air Force helicopters.
