A fewer days ago, Karol Nawrocki announced that he had vetoed the amendment of the Act on the National Judicial Council, prepared by the Ministry of Justice and adopted earlier by the Sejm and the Senate. The president argued that he could not sign a bill that, as he said, "under the slogan of restoring the regulation of law, actually introduces a fresh phase of chaos and opens the way for political influence on judges."
In his opinion, the NRS task leads to a "segregation of judges", is inconsistent with the Constitution and could consequence in the removal of those who "current power fears".
Nawrocki besides emphasized that there is no "neo" or "paleo" of judges in the Polish legal order, and the appointment of judges is the sole prerogative of the President. He besides announced his own draft law and, if the proposal for dialog was rejected, a referendum "on restoring normality in the functioning of courts".

Waldemar Żurek addressed these words in an interview with Anna Dryjanska in Temat. “We have almost a 1000 outstanding judges, due to the fact that we have a crisis related to the KRS and the President’s blocking”, stressed the Minister of Justice and the lawyer General.

In his opinion, these decisions were "purely political": "Because they signed letters of opposition, how the regulation of law was broken, due to the fact that they went out on the March of the 1000 due to the fact that they had a 'Constitution' shirt (...)".
The Minister of Justice besides calculated the consequences of blocking the KRS Act for citizens.
