Change in 800 plus. This is what parents are waiting for in January 2026

Educational benefit commonly known as "500 plus" first, and now "800 plus", is 1 of the most recognizable and widely commented social programs of the last decade. In January, people who collect money from this title can anticipate a reasonably crucial change.
The "Family 500 plus" program was introduced on April 1, 2016 as part of the government's pro-family policy. Its main nonsubjective was to support families raising children, improve their financial situation and combat low fertility in Poland. At the beginning, the benefit amounted to PLN 500 per month, since January 2024 it increased to PLN 800 per month.

The money that parents and guardians receive under the strategy is free of income tax, which is crucial - and cannot be taken by the bailiff for debt. The benefit is paid by the Social Insurance Institution. The money is usually paid in:

2 day of the month,
4 day of the month,
7 day of the month,
9 days of the month,
12 day of the month,
The 14th day of the month,
The 16th day of the month,
The 18th day of the month,
20 day of the month,
Day 22 of the month.

In January 2026 fresh withdrawal dates "800 plus"
In January money under the "Family 800 plus" program will be paid on somewhat different dates. Persons who receive a benefit on the 4th and 18th day of the period may anticipate early payments. The appropriations shall be paid within the following periods:

2 January - on that day the payment of benefits from 4 January will besides be made,
7 January,
January 9,
12 January,
14 January,
16 January - on that day benefits payments from 18 January will besides be made,
20 January,
January 22nd.

Where and erstwhile to apply for 800 plus?
Applications for 800 plus shall be submitted by electronic means only. This can be done in respective ways: via the ZUS Electronic Services Platform (PUE ZUS), via net banking (if the bank offers specified a service), via the Emp@tia portal, in the mZUS app on the phone.


From 1 February 2026 it will be possible to submit applications for a fresh service period. Persons who do so by 30 April 2026 will receive a benefit by 30 June 2026 at the latest.
