Another 300 people returned to Ukraine from Russian captivity – president Volodymyr Zelenski reported today. This is the implementation of the arrangements for the exchange of prisoners of war, which were reached during the tripartite talks in Geneva – stated the Coordination Staff for the POWs in Kiev.

"Another 300 Ukrainian defenders return home from Russian captivity. 2 Ukrainian civilians were besides recovered today. Among them are soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National defender and our border service – ranks, sergeants and officers," wrote Zelenski in the Telegram communicator, adding photos from the prisoner exchange.

The president added that the freed soldiers defended Ukraine on various sections of the front: Donetsk, Lugansk, Cherkovsk, Zaporosian, Khersonsk and Mariupol. "Most of them have been in captivity for over a year, and any have been in captivity since 2022," said Zelenski.
