Attorney-General Paprocki informed on Tuesday of the detention of a Ukrainian citizen suspected of participating in the bombing of the Nord Stream pipeline. The man was detained on the basis of a European Arrest Order issued by Germany.

Proceedings in the case will begin at 1 p.m. in the territory Attorney's Office in Warsaw. "After these activities, I will be able to talk more, due to the fact that then I will know what charges are being made to my client and what will be the nearest actions in this case" - said Paprocki.

Defence position

Gas pipeline destruction

On 26 September 2022 3 of the 4 strands of the 2 Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines were destroyed at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. The explosions occurred at a depth of about 80 meters.
