The Sejm agreed to detain Zbigniew Ziobra and forced him to attend a gathering of the Pegasus Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry. "In favour" was voted by 241 MPs, and opposed by 197.

Pegasus Commission. Zbigniew Ziobro speaks of "lawlessness"
On Wednesday, the Sejm's Rules of Procedure Committee endorsed the motion for the Sejm's consent to detention and forced enforcement before the Pegasus Committee of Inquiry associate of the PiS and erstwhile Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobry.

Pegasus Investigation Commission examines whether the usage of this surveillance software by the government, peculiar services and police at the time erstwhile the Law and Justice ruled was lawful. The erstwhile Minister of Justice, like another PiS politicians, believes that the Sejm investigation committee is acting illegally. Politician quotes judgment of the Constitutional Court (TK) of September 2024, which ruled that the Sejm's resolution to appoint this commission was unconstitutional.
However, more than a year ago, the Sejm adopted a resolution stating that "the inclusion in the activities of the public authority of the decisions of the Constitutional Tribunal issued in violation of the law could be considered a violation of the rule of legalism by those authorities." Since the Sejm adopted that resolution judgments of the Constitutional Court are not published in the authoritative Journal.
