On Monday, the media discussed the resignation of Joanna Muchy, Deputy Minister of National Education. The reports were confirmed by a government spokesman. The decision sparked a wave of comments and controversy.

"For many months I have worked intensively on projects which – I believe profoundly – could change Polish school. Unfortunately, despite many attempts and talks, it was not possible to build support for their implementation in the MEN and the government. In this situation, I found it unreasonable to proceed working in my current position" – explained Joanna Mucha's decision.

In the Ministry of Education, Mucha was responsible, among others, for the education of abroad children. Together with the team, she prepared the program "School for All" which was to support educational institutions in working with students from abroad. The programme was to start in September and be financed by the National Reconstruction Plan. According to unofficial information, the program was suspended by decision of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, not on the initiative of the Fly.

The decision to resign amazed her colleagues. Myrosława Keryk from the foundation "Ukrainian House" in the interview on the TOK FM radio reported that a working group on the integration of Ukrainian children in the Polish education strategy was held on Monday morning.

Dismissal culls by Joanna Muchy
