Xi Jinping strengthens control of the army. Most crucial general removed

Gen. Zhang Youxia, considered to be the second most crucial individual in the chain of command over the Chinese Armed Forces (after president of China Xi Jinping) was investigated for "suspecting serious violations of discipline and law" which in China most frequently means suspected corruption and abuse of power. Gen. Zhang was vice-president led by the Xi Central Military Commission, which is the highest governing body of the Chinese army.
