Russian-Ukrainian War (as of morning 21.07.2026):
- The day passed under the sign of 1 of the largest Ukrainian long-range operations against Russia. According to available information, Ukraine has directed more than 400 unmanned workers to targets in the Moscow and central Russia area. Russian air defence systems intercepted a large proportion of drones, but fire and harm to industrial and logistics infrastructure, including retention and fuel retention facilities, was reported.
- Russia responded with further rocket and drone strikes in Ukraine. Odessa and respective cities in the east of the country were peculiarly affected,
- Ukraine informed about the strikes against Russian maritime logistics and transport units sanctioned by Russian oil. At the same time, an earlier Russian attack on a merchant ship leaving Odessa in which 10 crew members were killed echoed. The event met with global reactions and again highlighted the threats to shipping in the Black Sea,
- On the front there is simply a very advanced strength of fighting practically throughout the contact line. Russian troops continued to force primarily on the Donetsk direction, trying to gradually grow their conquests through a series of tiny infantry storms supported by artillery, aviation and drones. However, no information was reported about the breach of Ukrainian defence or the acquisition of large urban centres. The nature of the fighting remains devastating – local attacks on a tiny scale dominate, intended to exhaust Ukrainian reserves,
- In Zaporozh, the Russians destroyed respective railroad depots carrying supplies for troops on the front,
- On the Zaporoz section, the Russians reached west of Stepnohirsk, on a powerfully reinforced area between Lukaniewski and Buriakiwka,
- On the Kostiantini section, Russian forces attacked Osykovsky,
- In view of the expanding Slavic and Kramatorsk fire, the Ukrainian authorities are preparing a forced evacuation of the population from all over the area, including villages located west of these cities,
- On the Kharkiv front, Russians celebrate strong Ukrainian positions in the White Colony from the south, through Shevchenkov,
- W The Kiev protests are ongoing due to the appeal of Defence Minister Mikhail Fedorov and speculations about the future of General Alexander Syrian chief. president Volodymyr Zelenski held a series of meetings with the highest military commanders, analyzing possible staff changes. Protesters announced the continuation of the demonstration by 24 July if their demands were not met. This is the largest political and military crisis in Ukraine since the beginning of the war.
