Russian-Ukrainian War (as of morning 16.05.2025):
- In the south front, the fight for Vilnius Pole and Bohatyr continue. Both positions are no longer indefensible and cost Ukraine only further losses. However, Command sends reinforcements there so that the Russians cannot present the business of these villages as a fresh success during the peace talks.
- Russian forces intensified the bombing of the confederate buildings of Pokrovska. In addition, further advancement has been made around Myroliubiwka and Malyniwka.
- On the Kostiantinian section, the Russians were advancing towards Oleksandro-Kalin and Zoria. Taking both towns would mean cutting off Ukrainians stationed in Stara Mykolaiwiec.
- The Ukrainians confirmed that in the next storm, the opponent managed to take over most of the alleged citadels in the Jara Times.
- On the Liman episode, Torski's defence collapsed.
- In view of the increasingly fast advancement of Russian, Kiev ordered the evacuation of the population from the area of Lima and Druzkovka.
- Today talks will begin between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul. The meeting, which will besides be attended by representatives from the US and Turkey, is another effort to resolve the conflict diplomatically.
