Russian-Ukrainian War (as of morning 06.02.2026):
- Last night, rocket and drone strikes on cities specified as Kiev or Kharkiv continued, resulting in heat and energy supply interruptions in the face of strong frosts. The capital of Ukraine has experienced the most hard winter since the beginning of the war, due to many power supply interruptions and the operation of the heating system. Residents cope with utmost temperatures, and social morale remains comparatively advanced despite large difficulties.
- Ukrainians study the increasingly mediocre usage of Starlink systems on the battlefield, as they are increasingly out of range. The same problem affects Russians who besides usage these devices.
- On the Zaporosian section, the Russians continued the attacks around Zaliznicy. No luck.
- On the Pokrów section, Russian forces are approaching the defensive lines of the Serhiwka prefield. The terrain is hard due to the fact that it is full open and so all movements are visible from a distance to the enemy's drones.
- No crucial changes on the another front sections. Due to many blizzards of snow, the fighting practically froze.
- The second circular of peace talks in Abu Dhabi between Ukraine, Russia and the US ended. The parties agreed to exchange 314 prisoners of war — the first so large in many months — and agreed to proceed negotiations. The Ukrainian president underlines the request for American safety guarantees.
