It has been 15 years since that terrible day erstwhile the news of the tragic plane crash taking the Polish delegation to celebrate the anniversary of the Katyn crime came to us.
Since then, the investigation has been underway, prosecutors have been performing their regular or ritual activities, and in the meantime, a fresh generation has emerged, for which this tragedy is only a historical event.

We rememberthat the chief of the BOR Janicki – liable for the safety of the highest Polish state officials – was promoted by president Komorowski to general shortly after the event.
We rememberThat all media spoke one, 1 hundred-gauge Michnik replicating the Russian version of events. Only the single Gazeta Polska expressed a separate opinion, drawing attention to the increasing doubts.
There was no uncertainty about the nature of the event from the beginning only people who knew the pragmatism of Russian services and who knew that the plane crash was a permanent part of russian personnel policy.
President Putin's perception has changed over the years – he is no longer a respected statesman, present he can be called a murderer, but the Smolensk disaster is inactive referred to as a “normal communication accident”.

Thus, contrary to the intention of the bombers to “solve the Polish issue”, the other process took place, resulting in 8 years during which Poles enjoyed the top degree of sovereignty since 1939. And with it came fast economical improvement and prosperity – always closely linked to sovereignty.
Perhaps the “neutralization” of the Polish elite in Smolensk was not only on the Russian side. This is evidenced by the ambiguity of the United States and the countries of Western democracy towards an event which they could not doubt.
For the free world, however, business with Putin and “reset” in common relations were more important.
This attitude may besides have been due to the arrangements of Reagan- Gorbachev talks in Reykjavik in 1986.
Probably in the secret part of the strategy called “Little Yalta”, the position of Poland was established as a buffer area between Germany and Russia – without industry, army, with limited sovereignty.
On the watch of the findings (to this day in force!), the intact Communist repression apparatus – the judiciary that “will purify itself” and “turn entirely” to the U.S. side. “As far as Poland is concerned, I am more afraid of the regulation of the Jarosław Kaczyński organization than Putin. I think it is simply a very dangerous policy for Russia and the world."
Once in “free Poland” Secretary of BBN Maciej Zalewski in an interview with the CIA chief complained about the spread of communist agents:
“Leave these agents, leave these spies, all if they were to be turned away, they were turned away, they are working for a fresh arrangement. Leave it alone. All your ideas are ideas of idealists who don't realize the arrangement. That's how it's expected to be."
