What young Ukrainians learn about Volhynia. Not much, and not the same way as in Poland

Why do Ukrainians view the UPA so differently from Poles? In the latest Ukrainian past textbook, the subject of the “Volhynia tragedy” is covered in just 3 pages. Throughout the country—except in the west—knowledge of the massacre is minimal. For most Ukrainians, the UPA is simply a symbol of the conflict against the Soviets, not against the Poles.
