“inReady” for the crisis

A powerful and well-equipped army is not adequate these days. Strong, resistant to various types of attacks and crisis situations must be the full society – including reading about this in the January edition of “Polish Armed Forces”.

Teachers, IT professionals, state officials, hairdressers, car mechanics, drivers and students – including representatives of specified professional groups, have volunteered to participate in the pilot voluntary training programme “in the Goth”. By the end of last year, under the supervision of soldiers, training with first aid, basics of endurance or cybersecurity exceeded about 16 1000 Poles. This is simply a major undertaking, which is why in the first edition of the magazine "Army Poland" in 2026 we focus not only on the programme itself, but besides on issues related to building social resilience. We are writing about the fact that initiatives already known to Poles, specified as "Trein with the Army", "Education with the Army" or now a government task "in the Goth", are not an effort to militarize citizens, but to build a society conscious and prepared for various crises: health, economic, climatic or military. However, in order for citizens to defy misinformation effectively, do not succumb to manipulation and operations of influence and be ready for all kinds of problems, they must be prepared accordingly. We emphasise that not only soldiers but all citizens and public institutions are liable for the endurance of the state in crisis situations. We set an example of Finns, Swedes and Baltics, but we besides show what is good about this area on the Vistula River. We check the skills acquired by Poles during pilot training “in Goth” and ask the project's originators about its continuation in 2026. We already know that the civilian program will not be interrupted. And this is good news for all those who failed to sign up for the pilot edition – including me.

The January “PZ” will besides take you to the 32nd Tactical Aviation Base in Łask, where the latest work is underway before the 5th generation F-35 aircraft are accepted into service. We besides compose about the mission of the Natov antimine squad and the function of Poles in this operation and the operational readiness of the national air defence system. We pay attention to the military problems of doctors, as well as checking what's fresh in Operation Szpej, and investigating fresh parachutes of the 6th Airborne Brigade.
