Two Democratic lawmakers have called on legislature and president Joe Biden to extend the deadline for ByteDance to sale TikTok. If the law is not changed, a ban on the platform's operations in the United States would go into effect next week. Bloomberg reports that Chinese authorities are in preliminary talks about selling it to Elon Musk. The U.S. ultimate Court announced Friday that a decision on whether to sale TikTok's U.S. unit or ban it from usage in the country will be made by Jan. 19.
