The Hungarian authorities officially confirmed the granting of political asylum to respective people from Poland, including erstwhile Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobrze. Budapest's decision triggered a storm. The Hungarian abroad Minister Peter Szijjarto justified this step with a fear of democracy and the regulation of law in Poland.
