Vladimir Putin congratulated Minister Sergei Szojgu and commanding the hit on Awdijiwaka by General Andrei Mordwiczow to get the town-fortress at Donetsk. The conflict took place in the large Ocheretine-Awdijiwka-Pervomajska triangle. The last hours of fighting were dramatic due to the fact that Ukrainian command had to execute a retreat maneuver to avoid double laps of its forces.
